Book Beginnings on Friday is a weekly meme where we answer the question, “So, what is the first line of your current read, and how did you like it?”
I’m currently reading Comeback Love by Peter Golden and here’s the first line:
Two days after Christmas, the snow was still falling. I should have been at my older sister’s outside Boston, visiting with Elaine and her husband, but the snow had started on Christmas Eve, closing the airports, and by morning the world was white and silent.
It’s a quiet start, but many of my favorite books start out that way.

Nice start. Gives you time to settle into the read.
That’s a great start for a book because it brings back memories about being snowed in.
Thanks for participating in Book Beginnings! Do you want me to send you the new button?
Hey, that would be great! I’ll pop over to your blog in case you don’t see this. Thanks!
This was the first book I read this year and I really liked it. The first sentence puts you into the right mood to read this book.
P.S. I don’t think I have ever come across a Book beginnings post with a book I read already. How great! Thanks.
